I put together the first two sets in the LEGO Avengers collection. It was surprisingly easy, considering none of the pieces are pink. They are primarily a nice shade of dark blue along with a few grey and red bricks.

Krystal helped by not swatting the pieces off of the table when I took them out of the plastic bags.

Both sets are here: Captain America's Avenging Cycle and Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape. The only geeky nitpick I have is that Iron Man wasn't there when Loki Escaped with the Cosmic Cube. Otherwise, I love the truck and mini figure Loki is the cutest thing ever...even if he does not have long flowing hair.

No worries. Thor is in the next set I have to build--Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout. That should take care of the long flowing hair.

While assembling the little shield truck, I realized this was kind of fun. I used to like building stuff from these bricks...why did I stop? Oh, yeah...I'm supposed to be an adult now. adult like those guys that build LEGO MINAS-TIRITH... ^^ I think its okay. I didn't do anything more creative than follow the instructions to build the models pictured on the box, but that doesn't mean I won't do something more interesting in the future. And that little truck is awesome. I wanted to build that.

When I was a kid, my favorite pieces were the little clear ones used for lights. My favorite piece from these two sets might be Loki's horned helmet. :)

I also thought I'd note that the assembly process was rather calming. I was able to push all of the "stuff" out of my head while I hunted for pieces. I guess this is money well spent if it improves my mood--cheaper than therapy. ;)
