...since I posted anything to my blog!
I'm still here. ;) A big distracting thing happened at work, but its over now. Sometimes things follow you home.
Sometimes orkin wardawgs follow you home. And then you have to decide if you want the responsibility of retraining them or deciding which weapon to use. ;)
Sometimes the words are not there. They are used up in a speech or in a novel and when it's time to put some in the blog, the cache is empty. I don't even know how to finish this thought right now because my current thought process is something like this: I should write a speech. Kitty! I miss Barb and Jolly. Do I have any junk food? My ring makes my finger itch. Beer! Damn!! I didn't send the Toastmasters meeting minutes until Monday! I'm a failure. Where are the cats? Hey, there's a new post on Twitter! It's been a year... Ringing phones scare me. Ponies! What does the name "Tallgeese" mean? Do asteroids have diamonds in them? I can't lose the keys to my Strongbox of Doom. Gotta think of an adventure for Sunday. My spork is missing. Time to charge the iPhone. I forgot to check the Kenzer & Company message boards. It's time to go to work. It's time to go to bed. I like pie. Thor is adorable.
Get the idea? I have to silence the voices in my head long enough to achieve coherence. This isn't always possible. Assembling a quick "Dice of the Day" post to fill in the gaps seems easy until I stare at a jar filled with dice for three minutes without inspiration. My most creative moments hit me when I'm at work. :)
My friend iunonis wrote a great blog post about missing words. Read it while I go find some words for tomorrow.
